My name is Tuan Nguyen. For more than ten years I worked in and managed salons across the United States — small shops, and floors running more than fifty technicians.
In that time I tried about seven booking systems. Every one of them had something I liked. And every one of them made me work around it.
Why did something so simple on an appointment book become so complicated once it became software?
A receptionist needs to change something in one move. An owner needs to see the whole floor. A technician needs a schedule they can read between clients. And a customer just wants an appointment without learning software.
So I stopped looking and built the one I always wanted: as flexible as the paper book we used for years, only faster, and able to hold a whole salon on one screen.
Gelza was not built by people guessing how salons work. It came out of ten years of doing it — and it is the booking system I wish I had back then.
